Another Championship Match Seemingly Confirmed For WWE Money In The Bank 2023

There looks to be another championship match confirmed for WWE Money in the Bank 2023 coming out of last night’s Raw.

In addition to the two matches for the event that were made official during Raw itself, another was largely hinted at in a post-show interview on social media.

On Raw, Damian Priest had beaten Matt Riddle in a Money in the Bank ladder match qualifier, after which Imperium’s Gunther and Ludwig Kaiser came out to attack Riddle themselves.

The Riddle vs Gunther match for the latter’s Intercontinental Championship has been teased for a number of weeks now, and it looks like it’ll be taking place at Money in the Bank in London on July 1.

In the aforementioned post-show interview that WWE posted, Riddle said:

“Well, I’m a little down to say the least, you know. It was already hard enough losing that match to Damian Priest and knowing I’m not going into the Money in the Bank ladder match, but then to have Gunther come out and add insult to injury… isn’t cool.

“And thinking about not being at Money in the Bank isn’t too cool. But, I don’t know, maybe there’s another way I can get to London at Money in the Bank.

“If Gunther wants to make fun of me, poke fun at me, beat me while I’m down, maybe I can give him a little taste of his own medicine.”

In terms of officially confirmed developments for Money in the Bank, as mentioned earlier, Damian Priest has rounded out the field for the men’s Money in the Bank ladder match, which will be him, Butch, Santos Escobar, LA Knight, Ricochet and Shinsuke Nakamura.

Two other big matches that were announced were Dominik Mysterio vs Cody Rhodes, and Seth Rollins defending the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Finn Balor.
