Another Update On WWE Splitting Imperium

Another Update On WWE Splitting Imperium WWE

On tonight’s WWE Raw (August 14) an update on WWE splitting up the faction Imperium through a series of events.

First, Imperium made an entrance for Gunther to cut a promo on the commentary desk about his future opponent Chad Gable for the Intercontinental Championship.

With Imperium continuing their feud with Alpha Academy, Chad Gable, Otis and Maxxine came out to the ring ahead of another exchange between Ludwig Kaiser and Maxxine.

Kaiser continues to chide Maxxine about hanging around dead weight like Alpha Academy when she should be affiliated with Imperium’s European elegance.

To be fair, Kaiser’s rationale that the pair would provide “A+ aesthetics,” was an astute observation.

Nevertheless, Maxxine yet again slapped Kaiser, leading to an initial match between Giovanni Vinci and Chad Gable.

However after Vinci lost to Gable, the warring factions had another match in them as Gunther challenged Otis to a match, which Gunther won, but Ludwig was clearly distracted by Maxxine at ringside.

In a later backstage segment, Imperium were bickering among each other with Gunther informing the pair that he has had enough.

Asking Vinci what is supposed to be done with him, he also turned his ire to Kaiser telling him that he was not attending to his responsibilities.

While Kaiser apologized and vowed that it would not happen again, Gunther made it clear he would be making sure to discuss this situation with Adam Pearce.

Later in the show the match was made official for next week on WWE Raw, Chad Gable will take on Gunther for the Intercontinental Championship.
