SmackDown star Asuka has posted her first reaction to the announcement of her return to NXT to face Roxanne Perez next week (October 10).
On the October 3 show, Kiana James announced that Asuka will be returning to NXT to face off against Roxanne Perez on next Tuesday’s episode.
While Perez has crossed paths with Asuka’s current rival IYO SKY in the past, the NXT star has yet to face off against the Empress of Tomorrow.
Asuka has now taken to Twitter to comment on the announcement of her NXT return.
Sharing a selfie, the former NXT Women’s Champion tweeted:
Living Legend Goes to #WWENXT
Asuka of course has quite the extensive history on NXT, still holding the record for the longest single NXT Women’s Championship reign at 510 days.
As well as Asuka, the likes of John Cena, Cody Rhodes and Paul Heyman were also announced to be appearing on next week’s stacked NXT card.
Next week’s edition of NXT will clash with AEW Dynamite, which has been moved from October 11 to October 10 due to MLB division playoffs.
Tuesday’s Dynamite will be a notable show, with Adam Copeland (fka Edge) making his AEW in-ring debut.
