Backstage News On Scrapped WWE Roman Reigns Feud

Some more backstage news has come to light regarding a scrapped feud that was planned for WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns.

Dave Meltzer clarified in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the reason the Wobby Walrus puppet character has disappeared from Bray Wyatt’s Firely Fun House was because a planned feud with Reigns was nixed.

The puppet was clearly meant to be a mock of Paul Heyman, Reigns’ manager, so with them deciding against doing that match, it didn’t really make much sense to have it there.

Meltzer wrote that there are “forces” in WWE who are working to protect Reigns from bad booking, and they basically figured that a feud with Wyatt wasn’t the best idea.

Instead, Wyatt was moved completely away from Roman Reigns in the WWE Draft and it looks like he’s starting a feud with Randy Orton for the time being.

Both men have been in the WWE Title mix recently, but McIntyre’s next challenger will be either Riddle, Keith Lee or AJ Styles, or possibly Braun Strowman.
