Becky Lynch Fires Major Shots At AEW Women’s Division WWE

Former WWE Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch has fired shots at AEW’s women’s division.

While appearing on Drew Garabo Live Featured Cut Of The Day, Lynch argued that the Raw women’s roster is levels above AEW’s female locker-room, but did give a shout-out to Ruby Soho (fka Ruby Riott), hopeful that she will be AEW Women’s Champion one day.

When asked about potential competition in the form of AEW’s women’s division, Lynch said:

“I wish I could say ‘yes,’ but, unfortunately, I don’t think they are represented the way we are, they don’t get as much time as we get and frankly, they’re not as good as we are. We have, certainly on Raw, we have the best women’s division in the world. I say that without any hesitation in my voice.

“We have the best women’s division in the world. Competition is great and it’s great for there to be another place and I have a very good friend, Ruby Soho, over there and I would love to see her as champion one day. I would love to see her get the spotlight she deserves. Competition is always great. Over here, we’re on another level.”

Lynch has previously noted that she watches ‘everything’ including AEW, but considers them an alternative to WWE’s product, rather than direct competition.

On Monday’s edition of Raw, Lynch made her first WWE appearance since losing her Raw Women’s Championship to Bianca Belair at WrestleMania 38.

Lynch was interrupted by Asuka, who previously hadn’t appeared on WWE TV since July 2021.
