WWE Star Sends Emotional Message Involving Becky Lynch WWE

Liv Morgan has reflected on her first WWE Raw Women’s Championship match, calling it an opportunity to prove herself and the fans right.

In her post on Instagram, Morgan looked back on her “first-ever women’s championship match” against Lynch.

The match took place on the December 6, 2021 edition of WWE Raw and wouldn’t be the last time the pair would share the ring, particularly on the WWE Live show circuit.

Highlights from the match can be seen below this news story.

Commenting about the match in her Instagram post, Morgan wrote:

“In honor of Monday night Raw tonight, I thought I’d throw it back to my first-ever women’s championship match vs @beckylynchwwe

“This night meant so much to me for so many reasons…

“After years and years of hard work, I finally got an opportunity to prove what my fans and I have known for a long long time, that I was READY.

“To make this night even more special, it came exactly 20 years after Lita and Trish iconically became the first ever women to main event a WWE show.

“Even though the red heads won both times, this was the true start of my history in the making & I can’t wait to make more ❤️‍🔥

“History has a funny way of repeating itself.”

On the December 6, 2004 episode of WWE Raw, Trish Stratus faced Lita for the Women’s Championship in the main event.

Looking back at that match, Jim Ross revealed that there was ‘pushback’ from male wrestlers when they found out the two women were closing the show.

On last night’s WWE Raw, Becky Lynch was ambushed by Xia Li, costing her the chance to become #1 contender for the WWE Women’s World Championship.
