Best Friends have commented on potentially winning the AEW World Tag Team Titles.
Trent Beretta and Chuck Taylor of Best Friends have been part of All Elite Wrestling since the inception of the company in 2019.
The duo has been in many memorable matches against the likes of Santana and Ortiz, while Trent and Chuck have also created a beloved trio with Orange Cassidy.
Cassidy has seen himself gain singles success with his record breaking AEW International Championship reign, but Best Friends have been unable to win the AEW World Tag Team Championships despite a few attempts at the gold.
During the Starrcast media scrum, Tru Heel Heat Wrestling asked Trent Beretta and Chuck Taylor whether there is pressure for them to win the titles after Orange’s run and finally win the gold to buy Sue some new rims. They answered:
Trent Beretta: That would be cool. Is it extra pressure because Orange is champion? No, it’s the same amount. We’re going for the big one guys.
Chuck Taylor: It’s always been a goal of ours and it remains a goal of ours to get the tag team titles. We had a lot of shots, we suck.
Trent: What the f**k? Guys, we’re gonna win the big one. That’s the big headline that will be taken out of proportion even though it’s not. The headline of this press conference is ‘We suck.’ No, we’re gonna win the big one, come on.
Chuck: “Just a picture of me like this saying, ‘We suck.’
Orange Cassidy will team with TBS Champion Kris Statlander and FTW Champion HOOK against Anna Jay, “Daddy Magic” Matt Menard and “Cool Hand” Angelo Parker in a six-person tag team match this Friday on AEW Rampage: Grand Slam.
