NXT commentator and Hall of Famer Booker T has shared a message for Kevin Dunn following his WWE exit.
The now-former WWE Executive Producer & Chief, Global Television Distribution informed WWE around Christmas that he was leaving the company, with Dunn stepping away at the start of 2024.
Speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T showed respect to Dunn, stating that Dunn always supported him.
Thanking Dunn for all of his work, Booker T said:
“Kevin was always in my corner. I worked with that guy for many many years. He was always business, always stern about his business more than anything.
“He always ran the show very professional. Made everybody look good in so many different ways, from the vignettes and stuff that he produced over the years. I just want to say thank you to Kevin Dunn for all the years of excellence that I had chance to work with him.
“I only have one regret, almost 20 years ago, 2005, when I opened my wrestling school. Kevin Dunn and the crew came down to check it out and told me, ‘Booker, you get the thing big enough and we’ll buy it.’ Damnit! Damnit! (Laughs).
“It’s big enough! I just want to thank Kevin Dunn for all the hard work.”
Fans have already noticed some changes to WWE programming, with some backstage segments feeling different to those of the Kevin Dunn era of WWE production.
Details have emerged on who’s behind these backstage segments, which you can read more about right here.
