Braun Strowman Suffers “Serious Injuries” On Raw

Everything was coming up Milhouse for Braun Strowman during the opening of this week’s WWE Raw. But, by the end of the night, things had taken a turn for the worse.

After eliminating four SmackDown men and being one of three survivors in the men’s 5 vs. 5 Raw vs. SmackDown elimination match at Survivor Series, Strowman was rewarded with a match against acting Raw GM Baron Corbin at December’s TLC pay-per-view.

In the opening match of Raw, Strowman teamed with Finn Bálor and Elias to take on Corbin, Drew McIntyre and Bobby Lashley in a six-man elimination tag match.

With Bálor and Elias eliminated, Braun was left in a 3-on-1 situation. This was made worse when McIntyre brought a steel chair into the equation, and he, Lashley and Corbin proceeded to destroy the ‘Monster Among Men’ at ringside.

According to WWE.com, the assault left Strowman with a “shattered elbow”:

“As reported by Michael Cole during the Monday Night Raw broadcast, Braun Strowman suffered a shattered elbow at the hands of Drew McIntyre, Bobby Lashley and Acting Raw General Manager Baron Corbin.”

Despite legitimately drawing blood after being whipped into the steel steps early on in the beatdown, the injury does seem to be a work.

However, there is a possibility that the angle is being used to somewhat mask genuine recent injury concerns surrounding Strowman, and potentially give him an ‘out’ from competing for at least a couple of weeks.

That is all pure speculation at this stage, though, and we will have to see how this affects the build to Braun’s upcoming TLC match against Baron Corbin in a month’s time.
