VIDEOS: Incredible Bray Wyatt Tribute From Seth Rollins At WWE Live Event @Burnham222/@GavMcLemore7

Last night, WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins worked a WWE show for the first time since the passing of Bray Wyatt.

Rollins wasn’t present at Friday’s SmackDown the day after Wyatt’s death, but did work last night’s Cape Girardeau, Missouri house show.

In a video posted to social media before SmackDown, Rollins explained that he wouldn’t be travelling to the show because he’d be hugging his daughter, because that’s what Wyatt told him to do when Brodie Lee had passed away.

In Cape Girardeau last night, the main event was a street fight between Balor and Seth Rollins.

The match ended with Rollins paying tribute to Wyatt by pulling off Wyatt’s trademark pose in the corner before landing the curbstomp for the win.

After the match the crowd began singing “he’s got the whole world in his hands”, and an emotional Rollins got on the microphone and said:

“I ain’t got time to go see a therapist and talk to anybody about this, so I appreciate all of you here tonight.

“You guys were an awesome crowd all night. We should pay you on your way out for being my therapist on top of it.

“I love you, thank you for allowing us to do what we do. We cannot wait to come back.

“Until next time, follow the buzzards.”

Here’s what Rollins said on Friday, before SmackDown, a day after the passing of Bray Wyatt, real name Windham Rotunda:

“Truth is, I don’t really… I still don’t really know what to say.

“Windham was a… unique cat. He was a simple yet deeply complex individual, and I loved him. I loved him. I loved working with him, but mostly I just loved being around him.

“He was always joyful. Just, these eyes that drew you in and a smile and a laugh and a presence that just made you happy. And… we’re all gonna miss that. I’ve been thinking mostly about his family. His kids.

“And I wanted to, I don’t know if wanted was the right word, I thought about going to SmackDown tonight, but that would entail leaving my family a day early, and I just keep going back to the conversation I had with Windham on the phone when Brodie (Lee) passed a few years ago.

“And I just had called him to check on him, see how he was doing, and he… we talked and he was okay and I was okay and neither of us were really okay, but I just remember, we ended the conversation with ‘I love yous’ and ‘goodbyes’, and he said, I remember this very specifically, he said, ‘You just go hug on that baby girl’, talking about my daughter.

“So I just feel like that’s what I should be doing.

“So, Windham, I love you man. I will miss you, we will all miss you. And I’ll see you down the road hot boy.”

WWE has added the following note to the item descriptions for Wyatt merch on the WWE Shop website:

On Thursday, August 24, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful reported:

I was given permission to reveal that earlier this year Windham Rotunda (Bray Wyatt) got COVID that exacerbated a heart issues.

There was a lot of positive progress towards a return and his recovery. Unfortunately today he suffered a heart attack and passed away.

Our thoughts and condolences continue to be with Windham Rotunda’s family, friends, and everyone affected by his passing.
