Has time finally caught up with Matt Hardy? Today, the ‘Woken’ one has sent fans everywhere into a frenzy with a tweet which many are believing announces his retirement from professional wrestling.
Posting a message of heartfelt thanks to those who have stuck by him and Jeff over the years, Hardy’s note sounds both solemn and final. After losing the Raw Tag Team Championships to the B-Team at Extreme Rules, many have speculated what there could possibly be for him to do next with no sign of a main event push in his future.
To all that supported me in the independents & OMEGA..

To the OUTSPOKEN fans who brought me back in 2005..
To the people who backed me when I was REINCARNATED in pro wrestling..

No Thank You Matt Hardy for puttin your life and body on the line to entertain us all these years!

Though it’s highly unlikely Matt Hardy is announcing his retirement, the memorandum does deliciously tease the possibility. However, should this be the end, it’ll have been richly deserved. No one can carry on forever and over the years one half of the Deleters of Worlds has thrilled and entertained us in tag and singles action.
If he is riding off into the sunset on mower of lawn, then he deserves a very big “thank you” and standing ovation for everything he’s given. Just don’t expect him to actually go anywhere.
WrestleTalk will keep you updated should anymore facts become available.
