Bret Hart Claims Major Former WWE Champion Didn’t Know How To Wrestle

While speaking on his Confessions of a Hitman podcast, two-time WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart has opened up about working with Hulk Hogan and has slammed the former WWE Champion for his limited ability in the ring.

Bret Hart claimed that he helped Hulk Hogan a lot during his career, but explained that the pair would only wrestle for around 30 seconds because of how limited Hogan was, with Bret claiming that Hulk “didn’t know how to do anything”:

“I knew Hulk from Japan. I wrestled him in Atlanta, Georgia when I first started. I actually helped him a lot when he first started with wrestling. I worked with him every night. We’d wrestle for about 30 seconds and then I’d lose in a bear hug. He didn’t know how to do anything! I think at that time he could barely walk into the ring and he didn’t know how to hit the ropes or anything.”

Bret Hart even revealed that he offered Hulk Hogan the chance to come and train at the famous Hart Dungeon, but the former WWE Champion turned down the offer, something he is believed to regret:

“I remember trying to get him to come up to Calgary and he’d always tell me through his career when I was in [WWE], he’d always tell me, ‘I wished I had gone up to Calgary now. That’s what I’m missing. I don’t have the wrestling skills like you guys got.’ To be honest, we had to work harder and it made us better wrestlers.”

Speaking about Hulk Hogan working with former WWE Champions, the reasons why Hulk Hogan and Stone Cold Steve Austin never worked a feud together has been revealed, which you can read more about by clicking here.
