Former SmackDown Women’s Champion Carmella has commented on her WWE return plans following her pregnancy.
Carmella and Corey Graves are currently preparing to welcome their first child together into the world.
While Corey Graves can obviously still do his commentary work, Carmella hasn’t appeared on WWE TV for months, last wrestling on the March 12 Madison Square Garden house show.
In an interview with Distractify, Carmella confirmed that she ‘definitely’ plans on returning to the ring after she gives birth.
Commenting on her comeback, Carmella said:
“I definitely want to go back. (…) I’m someone who likes to be, you know, active and keep busy. So it’s definitely hard, I think, to go from working so much all the time and being on the road all the time to the exact opposite.
“I definitely want to go back; I think it’s important to show that you can be a mom and still have a career and especially a very physical one.
“That being said, I definitely want to take my time going back, I don’t want to rush. Having a baby and delivering a baby in and of itself is such a huge physical toll on the body.
“So I want to make sure I feel great both physically and mentally before I go back.
Carmella previously claimed that WWE likes to pretend she doesn’t exist, in response to a WWE Network clip labeling Alexa Bliss as the first women’s Money in the Bank winner.
Alexa Bliss is currently on a hiatus as she is also pregnant.
Bliss previously commented on her wrestling future, which you can read more about right here.
