Cash Wheeler Names The Team He Wishes He Could Still Wrestle AEW

AEW star and one half of FTR Cash Wheeler has opened up about what he believes to be the best matches of his career.

FTR has had a number of career highlights this year, including a series of critically acclaimed matches against Ring of Honor tag team the Briscoes.

Prior to joining AEW, FTR wrestled in WWE as the Revival, having a number of lauded matches during their time in WWE developmental brand NXT.

It appears that, according to Cash Wheeler at least, some of the best matches of FTR’s career may have taken place while in the black and gold brand, Wheeler named the team’s bouts against American Alpha at Takeover: The End and NXT Takeover: Dallas as some of their best ever.

Wheeler talked about the matches on Twitter:

“I’ll always look back on these matches and this time period as some of the best times of my life. I wish I could still wrestle American Alpha.

“Hundreds of matches together and I never got tired of it. The things they could’ve accomplished.

“Two relatively unknown and unproven teams hitting their strides together at the same time. Both teams having breakout performances in the Dusty Classic.

“Our careers were so intertwined for the first few years. I thought we’d be wrestling each other in our 60’s.”
