WWE NXT Champion Carmelo Hayes has now reacted to criticism about his new WWE Elite action figure.

At San Diego Comic Con, fans were able to get a new look at Hayes’ new Mattel WWE Elite 105 series figure.

Ringside Collectibles have shared photos of the figure online, prompting fans to criticise the design of the toy’s face.

Many fans have called for the company to fix the figure’s face and update the design.

Hayes has now taken to Twitter to address the criticisms.

Noting that he’s excited to have a figure made of himself anyway, he tweeted:

I know y’all not happy about the face lol but this the first of many. Im hype to have a figure regardless!

Coming soon, make sure y’all run it up 🎯

Hayes did poke fun at his figure’s facial expression, updating his profile picture to a close-up of the collectable.

Hayes has been the NXT Champion since defeating Bron Breakker for the gold at NXT Stand & Deliver in April.

He is slated to defend his gold against Ilja Dragunov at NXT Great American Bash on July 30.
