AEW has announced a change to a match previously announced for Saturday’s edition of Collision, with a new opponent announced for Anthony Bowens.
It was previously announced that the AEW Trios Champion would go one-on-one with Evil Uno, after it was suggested on Rampage that a member of the Acclaimed should face off against a member of the Dark Order.
Tony Khan has now announced that, while many people were expecting Evil Uno to compete on Collision, it will actually be John Silver vs Anthony Bowens.
Khan shared the following preview for the bout on Twitter:
“When Bowens said he’d fight any Dark Order member, they’d implied he’d face Dark Order “I”, but they’ve added a “V” at the end, number IV John Silver!”
Bowens shared this post, replying:
I spent all last night tape studying Uno but I said I’d fight ANYONE. I won’t let this throw me off my game. Get those scissors ready State College ✂️✂️✂️ #AEWCollision
Evil Uno has also taken to Twitter to address the ‘change’, writing:
You wanted Evil Uno? You’re not getting Evil Uno.
The following lineup has been announced for Saturday’s show:
Bryan Danielson & Claudio Castagnoli vs. Ricky Starks & Big Bill
FTR vs The Iron Savages – AEW Tag Team Championship
Kris Statlander vs Britt Baker – TBS Championship
Anthony Bowens vs John Silver
The Righteous vs. The Hardys
Andrade El Idolo vs. Scorpio Sky
Jay White segment
Aussie Open segment
