Chris Benoit Named On Major WWE Star’s Wrestling Mount Rushmore WWE

WWE Hall of Famer The Undertaker has revealed Chris Benoit is on his Mount Rushmore of ‘small guys’, wrestlers who were under 6ft tall.

While the Deadman is one of the most iconic heavyweight WWE stars ever, he shared the ring with numerous top cruiserweights and light heavyweights.

Speaking on his Six Feet Under with Mark Calaway page, Undertaker named four stars for his wrestling Mount Rushmore of smaller wrestlers.

The stars who Undertaker named were Eddie Guerrero, Kurt Angle, AJ Styles and Chris Benoit.

With the tragic circumstances surrounding Chris Benoit and his family’s death in June 2007, while it’s still possible to view Benoit matches on the WWE Network, any mention of his name has been scrubbed from the service and any official WWE home video release has also not featured Benoit in any form.

Explaining his decision to include Benoit on this list, Undertaker stated:

“I’m gonna go with The Crippler, Chris Benoit. Again, a wrestling machine. Just could go. He was that guy. He was not a big guy at all, but when he got going, you forgot.

“You forgot that he was such a small guy in stature. Yeah he was jacked, but he was not that big a dude. But he was like a wolverine in the ring. From bell to bell, you had to have wheels to keep up with him.

“And the things that he did were solid, strong, made sense. I didn’t get enough chances to work with him.

“I worked with him a few times and had some really really outstanding matches with him.

“I did know when I worked with Chris that I needed to put my track shoes on because it was gonna be go time.”

Kurt Angle, who was also featured on Undertaker’s list, recently shared praise for a rising WWE star.

He also recently revealed that he’s set to undergo surgery, which you can read more about right here.
