WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle has praised SmackDown star Grayson Waller, believing that the Australian talent has ‘it’.
Waller was always presented as a future star in NXT, with the likes of The Miz and Shawn Michaels predicting that he’ll one day be a WWE main eventer.
His main roster debut match showed just how much faith WWE has in the young star, with Waller facing off against Edge (Adam Copeland) in singles action.
Speaking on his Kurt Angle Show podcast, Kurt Angle noted that he was impressed with this match, saying it was pretty damn good.
Believing that Waller is a talented star, Angle said:
“He’s the Australian kid. Yeah, I did see his match with Edge at Madison Square Garden, and it was a pretty damn good match.
“I think the kid’s talented. I think he has it. He’s pretty good on the mic, too.”
Waller most recently wrestled on the November 24 edition of SmackDown, teaming with Austin Theory in a losing effort against Kevin Owens and LA Knight.
Kurt Angle has also revealed that he’s set to undergo surgery in the new year.
