CM Punk Invites The Rock To Call Him On WWE Smackdown

Last week it was reported that CM Punk actually met with FOX and WWE recently to discuss co-hosting WWE Backstage on FS1 with Renee Young.

A report then emerged claiming that Punk would likely receive an offer from WWE in the coming weeks.

This recent news has meant that the rumours of CM Punk returning to WWE are probably the most prevalent they’ve ever been.

It was revealed yesterday that The Rock will be returning to WWE this week as part of Friday Night Smackdown.

The last time The Rock was in a WWE ring in the Staples Center was after a taping of Raw where scenes were shot for Paige’s Fighting with the Family movie.

This Friday, The Rock will once again be in the Staples Center, and CM Punk has told the People’s Champion to call him once again.

Speaking to KROQ, CM Punk had the following to say:

“I enjoy The Rock, I do. And I’m not trying to put this out… gee, hopefully people don’t do this, but do you remember the last time The Rock was in the Staples Center?”

“Let’s do it again. When is this show, next Friday? Dwayne, call me Friday.”

If CM Punk were to return to TV, a return segment with The Rock might just be the perfect way to bring the former WWE Champion back.
