CM Punk Surprises Injured WWE Star Ahead Of Royal Rumble

Former WWE and AEW World Champion CM Punk has surprised injured WWE NXT star Cora Jade ahead of the Royal Rumble event.

Since returning to WWE at Survivor Series 2023, CM Punk has made it no secret about his love and support for the NXT roster.

Punk appeared at NXT Deadline and was backstage at a few TV tapings for the brand following. The former AEW star has also documented his friendship with long-time CM Punk-fan and former NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion Cora Jade.

Jade recently suffered a torn left ACL injury that will force her out of action for seven to ten months.

On January 26, WWE posted a video to their YouTube channel where CM Punk surprised Cora Jade ahead of this Saturday’s Royal Rumble event.

The video shows Punk in a car arriving at a smoothie shop in Orlando to surprise Jade who was hanging out with fellow NXT stars Roxanne Perez and Jacy Jayne.

The wholesome moment also documents Jade showing Punk and her friends a video of herself cutting a promo after surgery, which she admits to not remembering.

Perez also teased that she is pretty busy this weekend and told Punk that she would see him at the Royal Rumble. This may be alluding to the former NXT Women’s Champion appearing in the Women’s Rumble match.

Despite the surgery, it seems Cora Jade is still in high spirits and was pleasantly surprised to see her wrestling hero pay her a visit.

CM Punk will compete in the 2024 Men’s Royal Rumble match at the titular event on January 27.
