A top AEW star has teased using their old WWE theme song.
Since the formation of All Elite Wrestling, the company has seen various stars make the jump from WWE to Tony Khan’s promotion over the past four years.
Despite competitors keeping a lot of the stuff that made them famous, the presentation usually changes in adjustments to their theme song and overall look.
The only exception to this rule seems to have been The Hardys, who are using their signature WWE theme music since Jeff Hardy signed with the promotion.
On August 1, CM Punk took to his Instagram stories to tease using his old WWE theme song, “This Fire Burns” by Killswitch Engage.
Punk used the theme during his first five years in WWE before transitioning to the “Cult of Personality” theme that has become the music he is synonymous with.
Punk will be in action on the August 5 edition of AEW Collision when he defends his Real World Championship of AEW against Ricky Starks with Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat as special guest referee.
