The wrestling world is still in mourning following the passing of the legendary Terry Funk yesterday (August 23) at the age of 79.
Funk’s influence is felt on many of the top stars of today, including the ‘Real’ AEW Worlds Champion CM Punk.
Punk was in action at last night’s Collision tapings, where he was a part of an ‘AEW All In All Star Eight-Man Tag’, but he came back out at the end of the show to pay tribute to the Funker.
As seen in the video below, Punk took a sign from the crowd that read ‘Terry Funk Forever’, before taking to the microphone to put over Funk in a heartwarming tribute.
You can watch the video of Punk’s tribute below.
This week’s episode of Collision was taped following Dynamite due to the AEW talent being set to be in the UK ahead of All In on Sunday.
You can read the full results of the show, including the identity of Punk, Darby and Sting’s tag team partner, here.
