CM Punk Upcoming WWE Appearances Confirmed

Upcoming appearances for Undisputed WWE Champion CM Punk have been confirmed as part of a “20 Years” celebration.

Currently in his third reign as Undisputed WWE Champion, it perhaps comes as no surprise that CM Punk is scheduled for a number of SmackDown appearances over the coming months.

With the schedule announced for CM Punk, the WWE Twitter account also confirms that he will be continuing the summer tour as well as appearing at NXT Live, Worlds Collide and Saturday Night’s Main Event, among his fixtures.

The list of appearances covers the period from August 14 to November 30, revealing that CM Punk will appear on:

SmackDown in Boston, Massachusetts on August 14

NXT Live in Petersburg, Virginia on August 15, as previously reported

Summer Tour in London, Ontario on August 20

SmackDown in Toronto, Ontario on August 21

Summer Tour in Edmonton, Alberta on August 22

Summer Tour in Calgary, Alberta on August 23

Raw & SmackDown in Ottawa, Ontario on August 24

Raw & SmackDown in Cleveland, Ohio on August 28

Summer Tour in Savannah, Georgia on August 29

Summer Tour in North Charleston, South Carolina on August 30

Sunday Night’s Main Event in Atlanta, Georgia on September 6

Summer Tour in Guadalajara, Mexico on September 9

Summer Tour in Monterrey, Mexico on September 10

SmackDown in Mexico City on September 11

SmackDown in Corpus Christi, Texas on September 18

SmackDown in Indianapolis, Indiana on September 25

Worlds Collide in Chicago, Illinois on September 26, the same day as AEW All Out

With Kevin Owens having recently made his WWE return, the star is seemingly on a collision course for the Undisputed WWE Championship in the hands of CM Punk.

Twenty Years Of CM Punk?

If we ignore the period between his departure in 2014 that would see CM Punk moved to the alumni section of the WWE roster page and return at Survivor Series: WarGames in November 2023, there certainly have been twenty years of The Best in the World.

It would be easy to think “well, he was CM Punk in AEW, too”, but he was also CM Punk before signing that first WWE contract in 2005 that would see him assigned to OVW, the then-developmental territory.

CM Punk’s departure from AEW, having been fired from the company, was confirmed in September 2023, following a ” weeklong internal investigation of an incident occurring back stage at AEW – All In in London”.

It had been speculated that WWE and CM Punk may come to terms on a new deal, with that obviously being the case at a PLE in Chicago being the ideal opportunity to welcome the star back into the fold.

While CM Punk’s first tenure in WWE may have seen a fractured relationship with some stars, Triple H has previously described a “paradigm shift” in their relationship.

Champion or not, CM Punk has demonstrated that, across his WWE and AEW runs, he’s a top star, regardless of how he may be perceived from past actions.
