Last being seen in action against Jacob Fatu at WrestleMania 42, Drew McIntyre has been absent from WWE since losing the Street Fight match against the Samoan Werewolf.

While McIntyre has been spotted back in the United States after spending much of the Summer filming projects internationally, fans have begun to wonder if he’ll be back soon.

Here are 6 return plans for Drew McIntyre when he comes back to WWE TV.

Attack Cody Rhodes

One duo that still have unfinished business with one another in WWE are Drew McIntyre and Cody Rhodes.

Despite engaging in his most recent feud with Jacob Fatu ahead of WrestleMania 42, Drew McIntyre has no shortage of bad blood with Cody Rhodes.

Even if Rhodes is able to escape the upcoming Sunday Night’s Main Event bout against Randy Orton, the Scottish Psychopath could be lurking.

Since Orton’s return to challenge Rhodes was kept a surprise, perhaps a new chapter in the storied history between Drew McIntyre and Cody Rhodes is set to kick off soon.

Go Another Round With The Bloodline

There is plenty of ill will and negative history between Drew McIntyre and The Bloodline as well.

The addition of Jacob Fatu to the line-up that already included OG members Roman Reigns and Jimmy & Jey Uso certainly won’t do much to quell McIntyre’s hatred for the faction.

Potentially joining forces with the likes of LA Knight and Solo Sikoa to fight back against The Bloodline, McIntyre would be able to join their growing band of witty rebels who are out to fight back against Roman Reigns’ rule over WWE Raw.

Teeing up an intriguing set of circumstances heading into Survivor Series: WarGames season in November, this year’s team set up could be the most intriguing in years.

Win Money in the Bank

An incredible way to mark the return of Drew McIntyre could be for him to serve as a surprise entrant in the Money in the Bank ladder match.

Rejoining the fray with an immediately menacing presence, McIntyre picking up a Money in the Bank victory could kick off a year-long heel reign for the quick-witted star.

Able to flaunt the power from the Money in the Bank briefcase in a whole new way, McIntyre could go out of his way to pop-up randomly to be a menace before disappearing again.

Utilizing holding the Money in the Bank briefcase as a narrative device to inject Drew into any storyline at any time for an entire year would be pure brilliance.

Debut New Character

Since being absent from WWE TV, Drew McIntyre has reportedly been active on two film sets including most recently working with Oscar winner Russell Crowe.

Taking his newfound Hollywood success and amplifying it, McIntyre could return to WWE action as a trope he formerly rallied against – the unabashed part timer.

Able to now offer a unique albeit still heelish perspective, McIntyre could have had a change of heart and decided that moonlighting in Hollywood for months at a time actually wasn’t so bad after all.

Leaning into his heelish character, McIntyre could go full Hollywood McIntyre, including finally paying off the long teased potential secret alliance between his character and The Final Boss, The Rock.

Play Spoiler To CM Punk At Worlds Collide

Seemingly one thing that the character of Drew McIntyre does best is hating on CM Punk.

With an official WWE graphic already confirming CM Punk’s appearance at Worlds Collide in Chicago, another teaser came to light.

In a new advert for the event, there is an image of not only CM Punk but the star is wearing a lucha mask with SES embroidered, throwing back to his Straight Edge Society faction of yesteryear.

While there hasn’t been any official opponent confirmed for CM Punk at Worlds Collide, certainly if he were to have a match, a wild Drew McIntyre appearing to strike would be made even more vicious in Punk’s own hometown.

Feud With Oba Femi

While Oba Femi is set to face off against Bron Breakker at Sunday Night’s Main Event, their ongoing feud could continue well into the future.

However another WWE star that Femi has unfinished business with is Drew McIntyre.

McIntyre interrupted Femi’s champion vs. champion match against Cody Rhodes at John Cena’s Farewell edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event back in December.

With nothing resolved in the interim, it could be that when McIntyre returns, rather than targeting someone else – he could become a target for Oba Femi.
