Tomorrow night’s (May 5) episode of WWE SmackDown will take place in Puerto Rico, serving as the go-home show to Saturday’s Backlash premium live event.
Announced for the show so far are two matches, one featuring new SmackDown stars Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson of the OC taking on the Viking Raiders in their final SmackDown match.
The other match features Shinsuke Nakamura’s final match on the blue brand, when he takes on Karrion Kross.
At Backlash, Bad Bunny will face off with Damian Priest in a Street Fight, but the musical megastar is also set to be on tomorrow’s SmackDown, and he’s not the only big name star set for the show.
WWE has announced that the American Nightmare, Cody Rhodes, will appear on tomorrow night’s show, 24 hours before his clash with Brock Lesnar at Backlash.
Cody Rhodes was drafted to the Raw roster in the 2023 WWE Draft, but the rosters don’t take effect until May 8, after Backlash.
Brock Lesnar is a free agent following the Draft, with him able to float between both Raw and SmackDown, a trait he shares with Mustafa Ali, Dolph Ziggler, Omos, Von Wagner, Baron Corbin, Elias, Xyon Quinn, Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin.
