Cody Rhodes Opponent Announced For WWE Crown Jewel 2023 WWE

Cody Rhodes’ opponent was made official for WWE Crown Jewel 2023 in tonight’s opening segment on Monday Night Raw.

While the card for the upcoming premium live event WWE Crown Jewel continues to come together, another big match was just made official.

After Judgment Day (initially Damian Priest and Finn Balor) started off the show, they were interrupted by someone else for a change of pace with Cody Rhodes making his entrance on them mid-sentence.

A back and forth exchange occurred in the ring, including Cody highlighting Rhea as ‘the leader’ of Judgment Day, telling Priest that it seemed she was his Mami too, and Priest wondering if Cody’s ‘story’ is actually one of failure.

The war of words ended on Damian Priest and Cody Rhodes deciding to go one-on-one at Crown Jewel on November 4.

However not ones to wait, the rest of Judgment Day (including aspiring member JD McDonagh) arrived on the scene and quickly Cody was outnumbered.

Even a run-in from Jey Uso to take out Dominik Mysterio didn’t save Cody’s ankle after Priest and McDonagh worked together to smash it between two steel chairs and the steel steps.

In a backstage segment after the commercial break, Cody was seen with his shoe off, seemingly in pain as Jey helped to get him to the trainer’s room at the behest of Adam Pearce.

We’ll sure to update this article in the event more develops between the pair tonight.

Damian Priest is set for action later in the night when he takes on Jey Uso in a singles match.
