More details have emerged on potential WWE plans for Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 38, if he chooses to sign with the company.
It was recently reported that the company wants to return Rhodes to WWE TV before WrestleMania 38 in April.
Per the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE has a creative plan for the secret debut of Rhodes ‘imminently’. If Rhodes does return to WWE, the plan is for him to face Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 38. Fightful previously reported that WWE had considered a pitch for this bout.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the creative team has been told that it’s not 100 percent that Rhodes is coming in, with those higher in the company unsure whether talks have fallen through or not, as discussions were reportedly ongoing during the week.
Dave Meltzer previously reported that the ball is in Rhodes’ court, regarding a potential WWE return.
