Dustin Rhodes’ Brutal Thoughts On The Rock Replacing Cody Rhodes Against Roman Reigns

Dustin Rhodes’ Brutal Thoughts On The Rock Replacing Cody Rhodes Against Roman Reigns WWE, AEW

Dustin Rhodes has shared his brutal assessment regarding The Rock facing Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40 at Cody Rhodes’ expense.

In many fans’ eyes Cody Rhodes receiving his rematch against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40 seemed like an absolute lock.

However, with The Rock recently returning to tease a blockbuster clash of his own with his cousin, plans are much less certain now with the 2024 Royal Rumble just over a week away.

Sharing his two cents on the matter recently was Dustin Rhodes, who was asked his thoughts on what WWE should do with his younger brother during a recent interview with Sports Illustrated.

Dustin said:

“I hope Cody’s in the main event spot against Roman, or it’s going to be The Rock.

“If it is The Rock, I’m pissed – this is Cody’s time. He is becoming the face of the company, and it’s paying off.

“But I get it. If it is The Rock, it’s still good business. I understand that there are a lot of people who love seeing The Rock. But I still think it’s Cody’s moment.”

Aside from Rock’s tease on the Day 1 edition of WWE Raw, there have been few other signs that he will in fact be taking Cody Rhodes’ spot in the WrestleMania main event; with the People’s Champion not yet advertised for the Royal Rumble or any other big events coming up.

However, that’s not to say that couldn’t change, with Rock still placed among the favorites to potentially win the Rumble match according to the latest betting odds.

We’ll continue to keep you posted with any further updates on plans for the WrestleMania 40 main event as they emerge.
