Current WWE Champion Appears At Independent Show (Video)

WWE Hall of Famer Lita captured a championship in WWE for the first time in 17 years earlier this week, when she and Becky Lynch defeated Dakota Kai and IYO SKY of Damage CTRL to capture the Women’s Tag Team Championship.

Fellow WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus made her return to aid Lita and Becky in the match, attacking Bayley at ringside.

Lita’s week didn’t end there however, as she also appeared at last night’s Hoodslam’s GET YOUR ASS TO MARCH: Fall of the Hoodslammer event.

Lita didn’t bring her new WWE title with her to the event, and didn’t appear to make mention of WWE at all.

Lita dropped several of Hoodslam’s catchphrases before handing the microphone off to Hoodslam founder Dark Sheik.

There are reportedly set to be more ‘twists and turns’ in the story with Lita, Trish, Becky, Damage CTRL and Ronda Rousey heading into WrestleMania, which you can read more about here.
