A former WWE star was present backstage at last week’s (July 30) episode of SmackDown in Minneapolis.
Per PWInsider, former WWE star Curtis Axel (Joe Hennig) was backstage visting at the show, as it emintated from his home state.
PWInsider did not go into details about whether there were any discussions for his return, or if he was simply visiting his friends and former co-workers.
Axel was released from WWE back on April 30 of 2020.
