How Damian Priest Got Involved In Finn Balor Vs. Seth Rollins At WWE SummerSlam 2023 WWE

Find out how Damian Priest got involved in tonight’s Finn Balor vs. Seth Rollins match at WWE SummerSlam 2023.

Finn Balor made his entrance tonight at WWE SummerSlam alone, and left the same way, but what happened in between was quite intriguing.

Finn Balor and Seth Rollins’ WWE World Heavyweight Championship bout saw a momentary distraction as the Money in the Bank briefcase holder Damian Priest came to the ring, at which point business picked up.

When the rest of the Judgment Day descended on the ring (Rhea Ripley and Dominik Mysterio), Balor was heard to be telling Priest “this isn’t Plan B,” as though he was not interested in any interferences.

Well, there were some interference attempts that really only led to near falls and Dominik Mysterio taking a big stomp from Seth Rollins in the melee.

When it seemed the tension was becoming overwhelming between Balor and Priest, things got very intriguing as motives remain a bit unclear.

Priest went to speak to the referee, leaving the Money in the Bank briefcase in the ring, seemingly so Balor could use it as a weapon, but actually, when Balor went to grab it, Rollins curb stomped him onto it to get the win and retain his title.

The end of the match saw a stare down between Finn Balor and Damian Priest while Dominik Mysterio and Rhea Ripley were outside the ring, nursing the wounds of the NXT North American Champion.

In summary, there are still tensions within the Judgment Day, Priest still hasn’t cashed in Money in the Bank, and Rollins is still WWE World Heavyweight Champion.
