Darby Allin Opens Up About Relationships With Cody Rhodes & Jon Moxley (Exclusive)

During his time with AEW, Darby Allin has both wrestled and tagged with Cody Rhodes and Jon Moxley, even having his debut match for the promotion against the former at Fyter Fest last Summer.

In an exclusive interview with WrestleTalk’s Louis Dangoor, Allin said that both men have had an equal impact on his career, and opened up about getting to wrestle Cody Rhodes in his first match for AEW:

“They are both equally the same in my book. Cody’s one was a big deal because I made my debut against him. So right off the start, it was like alright man here we go, put up or shut up. I always talked this s*** on the indies that I belong in a spot like this. I went 100% that night, and everyone can kiss my ass that never believed in me before. Moxley is another one. These guys, you know, they are the top of their game… They equally have their own things that make them insane.”

One of the best Dynamite matches of the year was Darby Allin vs. Jon Moxley, and the TNT Champion opened up about what it was like to main event the weekly show with the former WWE star:

“Whenever you put me in the main event, it’s go time. You need to show why you belong in those spots, because just as fast you get those spots they can be taken away. Walking through all that stuff, it was a fight. It felt good. “

During the same interview, Darby Allin spoke about potentially stepping into the tag division and wanting to work with FTR. He namedropped Sting and both Moxley and Cody as potential opponents for him.
