A former NHL player is set to return to the ring.
At Slammiversary this Saturday, July 15, former NHL player Darren McCarty will serve as the special guest enforcer for the Bully Ray and Deaner vs. Scott D’Amore and a mystery partner.
On the following day, IMPACT Wrestling will hold their Slammiversary Fallout event for the next few weeks of television for the promotion.
On July 11, IMPACT announced that McCarty will be having only his second match, teaming with Tommy Dreamer to face Champagne Singh and Shera in tag team competition on the July 16 event. The tweet reads:

McCarty made his in-ring wrestling debut teaming with Tommy Dreamer and Yuya Uemura to defeat Bully Ray and The Cool Hands at a March 25 IMPACT on AXS TV taping.
