Popular Star Admits He Dreams Of Being WWE Champion Amid Tag-Team Split Rumors

SmackDown star Montez Ford has addressed the possibility of a full singles run, recalling on his childhood wrestling dream.

While Ford and Angelo Dawkins of the Street Profits are a celebrated tag-team, there has been a lot of speculation over the years about the duo potentially splitting off for singles runs.

Speaking with USA Today Sports, Ford acknowledged these rumors, admitting that he has always dreamed about winning the WWE Championship.

Ford said:

“As a kid, I’ve always had a dream to become WWE champion, and you can’t do that as a tag team wrestler.

“You can be a part of a tag team, but it’s just me out there.

“That’s always been a dream of mine, and that’s one of the things I’m always looking forward to, training for.”

Ford’s wife Bianca Belair then stated that she wants to be champion at the same time as Ford in the future.

Belair had the opportunity to win the WWE Women’s Championship on SmackDown, when she challenged Asuka for the gold.

Unfortunately for the EST, the match was thrown out and ended via DQ following interference from Charlotte Flair, Bayley and Ms Money in the Bank IYO SKY.
