Drew McIntyre Makes First WWE Appearance Since WrestleMania 39 (VIDEO) WWE

Former WWE Champion Drew McIntyre has not been seen on WWE television since his loss in the Intercontinental Championship Triple Threat match at WrestleMania 39.

Following the event, it was reported that Drew and the company were in the midst of an ongoing contract discussion, with McIntyre’s deal set to expire in early 2023.

It has been reported that, while he has yet to sign a contract extension, McIntyre’s return to the company comes down to any creative ideas the company has for him, with WWE reportedly holding creative meetings in regards to his return.

Earlier this week, WWE announced that McIntyre would serve as a Global Ambassador for the company for the Special Olympics in Berlin, Germany.

Today, Drew made his first appearance for the company since WrestleMania and his ongoing contract saga, surprising the members of the Special Olympics team.

In the video, McIntyre can be seen surprising the team, making a joking remark that he ‘hopes people remember who he is’. You can see the video below.

WWE is said to hope to have McIntyre back in the fold by the time the Money In The Bank pay-per-view rolls around in London in two weeks.
