A NBA star has made a surprise appearance at the WWE tryout ahead of SummerSlam in Nashville.

Dwight Howard is a NBA Champion, three-time Defensive Player of the Year and eight-time All Star. The former Orlando Magic center is currently a free agent in the NBA.

Despite his focus on landing on a new team, it didn’t stop Howard from making a surprise appearance at WWE’s tryouts in Nashville ahead of Saturday’s SummerSlam event.

ESPN’s Arash Markazi posted a tweet with a video of Dwight Howard’s surprise appearance where he cut an in-character promo.

The caption reads:

Dwight Howard was a surprise participant at the WWE Tryout in Nashville today. He told me he legit wants to join the WWE one day.

Markazi confirms that Howard took part in several drills at the tryout, posting a second promo on the tweet thread.
