Edge ‘Too Loyal To WWE’ For AEW Debut Says Hall Of Famer WWE

Hall of Famer Kurt Angle has weighed in on rumors about Edge joining AEW, believing that Edge will be a WWE lifer.

There has  been a lot of speculation that Edge could be headed to AEW, possibly as soon as Sunday night’s October 1 AEW WrestleDream pay-per-view event.

These rumors have been fuelled by Edge being removed from the ‘miscellaneous’ portion of the internal WWE roster and the SmackDown opening video, following reports that his WWE contract was set to expire at the end of September.

Speaking on his Kurt Angle Show podcast, Angle argued that Edge is too loyal to WWE for an AEW run.

Believing that Edge will be with WWE for life, Angle said:

“I think Edge is loyal to WWE. He’s been loyal since day one.

“Don’t get me wrong, a lot of other wrestlers have crossed over, especially his best friend and kind of brother, Christian, but I just don’t see Edge doing that.

“I really believe he’s going to be WWE for life.”

With Darby Allin confirming that his TNT Title 2/3 falls match against Christian Cage will main event WrestleDream, many fans have predicted that we will see Edge reunite with his friend and former tag partner before the show goes off the air.
