An update has emerged on the WWE backstage perception of Ethan Page, ahead of the recent NXT call-up challenging for the Intercontinental Championship.
Ethan Page has certainly made an impact since arriving on the main roster, notably pinning Intercontinental Champion Penta in tag-team action during his second ever Raw match.
with Page set to challenge for Penta’s IC Title at Saturday Night’s Main Event, details on how Page is viewed backstage have emerged ahead of the May 23 show.
Per WrestleVotes on Twitter, those within WWE who they’ve spoken with believe Page has “positioned himself very well moving forward” regardless of the championship match outcome, especially considering his relatively quick rise on the main roster.
The report noted that it’s worth noting how well Page has been received internally since signing with WWE in 2024, with one source describing him as “extremely respectful and detail-oriented behind the scenes.”
Page winning the Intercontinental Championship on Saturday night would be a big deal, with the bout set to be his third as a main roster talent, following just over a month on the red brand.
Interestingly, Page would join US Champion Trick Williams as two stars called up to the main roster this year who would be holding singles championships.
In addition, Lash Legend eliminating Hall of Famers from January’s Royal Rumble, Oba Femi defeating Brock Lesnar in under five minutes at WrestleMania 42, and Sol Ruca feuding with Women’s Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch all show that WWE is serious about establishing these recent call-ups as bonafide stars.
Lash Legend has addressed the company’s trust in her, stating that she’s super grateful for Chief Content Officer Triple H, click here to read more.
