WWE has just announced via a video on their YouTube channel that former stable Evolution will be re-uniting as part of the SmackDown 1000 celebrations on October 16.
Thankfully, this won’t be confusing, because no-one will be confused by WWE announcing the return of Evolution two weeks before the WWE show Evolution.
Whatever.
The below video was posted on WWE’s YouTube channel a short while ago.
Announcing the news, Mike Rome said: “One of the most heralded factions in WWE history, Evolution will be re-uniting at SmackDown’s 1,000th episode. And might I add, this is for the first time ever on SmackDown Live. We’re talking 16-time champion Ric Flair, 14-time champion Triple H, 13-time champion Randy Orton, and last bit not least, 6-time champion Batista.”
He went on to promise that several more announcements will be made in the coming weeks.
Batista has said he is keen on a final run with WWE, so could this be the first step towards him doing exactly that? We’ll have to tune in to the show to find out. Presumably they’ll bury SAniTy or something.
