Former World Champion Addresses Kazuchika Okada Hating TNA/IMPACT Wrestling

A former world champion has addressed Kazuchika Okada hating TNA/IMPACT Wrestling.

On October 9, Kazuchika Okada, Hiroshi Tanahashi and Tomohiro Ishii will defend the NEVER Openweight Six-Man Tag Team Titles against IMPACT’s Josh Alexander, Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin at NJPW Destruction In Ryogoku.

Following the announcement of this match, Okada had some bitter words toward the trio coming over from IMPACT Wrestling thanks to his disdain for the former TNA.

“The Rainmaker” spent two years off-and-on in IMPACT when it was called TNA that led to the promotion and NJPW having ill will against one another for years due to the treatment of the future star.

Speaking with Tru Heel Heat Wrestling, Josh Alexander addressed Okada’s comments and the upcoming championship bout. He said:

“I mean, you can take exception to them of course. His comments he was very respectful to myself, Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin, so that’s fine and all respect goes to those three guys as well.”

“I think we all know that we respect each other and what we can do in the ring. But the second he calls out IMPACT Wrestling and later corrected himself that he hated TNA.”

“For somebody who was watching that day and age, I don’t think I can blame him that much. So you know it was a tough time back in the day for TNA, but luckily you know, now things have changed.”

“So myself, Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin get to show up in Sumo Hall with kind of a chip on our shoulder and show him that things have changed and that we are the best wrestlers in the world. Hopefully we can take those six man tag team belts from them.”
