Former Owner Isn’t Sure About AEW CEO Tony Khan’s Version Of ROH ROH

A former owner isn’t sure about AEW CEO Tony Khan’s version of ROH.

In March 2022, Tony Khan announced that he had purchased Ring of Honor. Since then, he has operated the company as a secondary brand to All Elite Wrestling.

Cary Silkin owned and operated ROH from 2004 to 2011, and then continued on with the promotion as an ambassador until the company was acquired by Tony Khan.

Appearing on “The Insiders,” Silkin discussed some of his issues with Khan’s ROH since it started airing on HonorClub earlier this year. He said:

“It’s still alive today, but it’s …it doesn’t have … even in the worst times of my Ring of Honor, even in the worst times of the Sinclair Ring of Honor, there was like ‘We’re all in this together’ kind of,”

“It was a family; the fans are family. And I like Tony Khan, and he’s a good guy, and he’s got so much on his plate that I just think the current Ring of Honor is … I can’t come up with the right words,”

“And maybe I’m sour grapes a little. But it’s not gelled together properly.”

Ring of Honor TV airs every Thursday at 7 p.m. Eastern on the HonorClub app.

ROH will hold their next pay-per-view on Friday, December 15 with ROH Final Battle 2023.

WrestleTalk will provide any news and notes regarding ROH Final Battle 2023 when they become available.
