Former World Champion Says IMPACT Is In The Running For His Next Home IMPACT Wrestling

A former world champion says IMPACT Wrestling is in the running for his next home.

Many fans have been speculating about the upcoming potential free agency for former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Will Ospreay. He has made it no secret that his NJPW contract is set to expire in February 2024.

Despite being a top star for New Japan Pro Wrestling, “The Aerial Assassin” has made several appearance for AEW and will be returning to IMPACT for their Bound For Glory pay-per-view on October 21.

In an interview with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, Will Ospreay revealed that he is still in negotiations with NJPW.

Making it clear that he is looking into every option and IMPACT Wrestling is in the running for his next home, Will said:

“The deal is up in February, and we’re still in negotiations. I’m looking to explore every single option and every single avenue.”

“IMPACT Wrestling is in the running for my next home. I’m willing to test the waters.”

“So this match against Mike Bailey is a real treat for me, and I’m excited to do it, especially with what could happen next year,”

Will Ospreay is the current IWGP United Kingdom Heavyweight Champion. He is coming off a successful defense against Zack Sabre Jr. in a widely praised bout at NJPW Royal Quest III.

Ospreay is set to face Speedball Mike Bailey at this Saturday’s IMPACT Bound For Glory event.
