Former WWE Champion Recalls Interesting Story About Triple H’s Pedigree

When you think of an iconic finishing move in wrestling, your mind would probably automatically go to Brock Lesnar’s F5, The Undertaker’s Tombstone Piledriver, Shawn Michael’s Superkick, Stone Cold’s Stunner or Triple H’s Pedigree.

Speaking of the Pedigree, former WWE Champion and current Impact Wrestling star Rob Van Dam has revealed that he actually stopped doing a move when he joined WWE because it looked too similar to Triple H’s signature move.

Taking to Twitter, the ECW icon revealed that he stopped doing a “double underhook front suplex” when he joined WWE because he thought it was a “better version” of Triple H’s pedigree, so he stopped out of respect.

RVD would go on to suggest that perhaps the lockerroom were pleased that he stopped doing the move as ‘”everyone hated taking it anyway”.

It’s not like RVD is short of moves. The former WWE star has one of the most awesome movesets while working for WWE, so it’s not like he suffered greatly by pitching this particular move.
