A former WWE star has detailed a backstage altercation with a member of the Wyatt Sicks that led to their release from the company.

Upon the Wyatt Sicks’ arrival in WWE, they quickly entered a feud with the Final Testament stable led by Karrion Kross on the Raw brand.

As part of the feud, the Wyatt Sicks faced off against the Authors of Pain in tag team action, with Akam and Rezar being members of Kross’ Final Testament faction.

Rezar Recalls Backstage Altercation With Wyatt Sicks

Akam and Rezar would be released from WWE in February 2025, and Rezar (Gzim Selmani) has now detailed a backstage altercation he had with one of the members of the group that led to his release.

Speaking on the Ariel Helwani Show, he said:

“There was an incident, very unprofessional from one of those guys. I don’t know their names and don’t want to go into it too deeply, but there was an incident at one of the Holiday tours we did, somebody tried to switch up the match during the match, and that’s just a no go for me, especially if you’ve just been in the company for a little bit, and we were already there for a long time. You don’t do that. I just let somebody know, and that was the end of it.

“Yeah, they tried to switch up the match in the middle of the match. I’m a professional, even if I’ve got to take a beating in a wrestling ring I’ll do it, and if you’re gonna be a scared little bitch, it’s not my fault, I’ll let you know backstage.

“It was certain moves we did, certain guys didn’t want to take it, because we’re big guys. So if we lift you up and double Spinebuster you five nights in a row, the sixth night somebody can complain, but don’t change it during the match.

“Yes (there was an argument backstage). It happened, I’m okay with it. That was it, we knew that was it. Paul (Ellering) and Sunny (Akam), we talked together and obviously we leave the door open, but for me it was clear I had to go back to combat sports and do my thing.”

The Wyatt Sicks’ Continued Rivalry With The MFTs

The Wyatt Sicks remain a key figure on the WWE SmackDown brand to this day, with the group of Uncle Howdy, Erick Rowan, Dexter Lumis, Joe Gacy and Nikki Cross currently locked in a rivalry with the MFTs.

The Wyatt Sicks and MFTs have feuded over both the WWE Tag Team Championship and Bray Wyatt’s lantern since October, with the two teams potentially set for a big clash of stables in the near future.

However, with Damian Priest and R-Truth the current number one contenders for the MFTs’ WWE Tag Team Championship, as well as Shinsuke Nakamura getting in the head of Tama Tonga, we could see a change of ownership for the gold, with Priest and Truth potentially set to head into WrestleMania 42 as champions.
