A big professional wrestling free agent made their choice known after having reportedly been pursued by both WWE and AEW.
After being courted by both WWE and AEW, Komander made his choice clear tonight as Tony Khan officially announced him as All Elite on social media after speculation about his future.
Komander himself had recently commented on being a free agent, considering his options including WWE and AEW.
Komander’s first in-ring outing for AEW took place on the March 1 edition of Dynamite, with the Mexican star impressing fans with his performance in the Face of the Revolution ladder match.
Shortly after this bout, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer reported that Komander was on WWE’s radar, reporting that WWE reached out to Komander after his AEW debut was announced.
However after tonight’s AEW Dynamite where Komander lost to Jay White, and well after the initial announcement, Khan took to social media again to share a cheeky snap with the newest signee.
Doing a reminiscent signature pointing pose (albeit in reverse) Khan posed for a joyful photo with Komander as the proud boss looked thrilled with his most recent signee.
Khan used the snap as an opportunity to remind AEW fans that if they missed the initial live coast to coast airing of AEW Dynamite, never fear as it would replay again later tonight on TBS.
Elsewhere on tonight’s edition of AEW Dynamite (April 19), there was a big title change, a new ally was revealed to be joining with The Elite and there was a big update about MJF’s challenger for the AEW World Championship at Double or Nothing.
