Former WWE US Champion Giulia has shared a message for Kiana James after attacking her on Friday Night SmackDown.
The June 5 SmackDown episode saw Kiana James face off against Bayley, Jacy Jayne and Raquel Rodriguez in a Queen of the Ring first-round four-way bout.
Following Rodriguez picking up the victory, James yelled at her ally Giulia, blaming her for the loss and telling the Japanese star that she’s done.
Giulia then attacked Kiana James, leading to commentary pointing out that it looks like this partnership is over.
WWE has now shared a video of Giulia returning backstage following the segment.
In the aftermath of attacking James, Giulia said:
“Kiana, tu e io, finita (you and me, it’s over). It’s over! Arrivederci. Sayonara.”
Giulia’s time in WWE has been very inconsistent. She was immediately treated like a big star upon signing with the company in 2024, going on to win that year’s Iron Survivor Challenge, and subsequently winning the NXT Women’s Championship at the following January’s New Year’s Evil event.
She was officially called up to the main roster that May, just eight months after her WWE NXT debut.
While she has held the Women’s US Championship twice on SmackDown – most recently losing the gold to Tiffany Stratton in April – she only successfully defended the title on TV three times across both reigns.
Fans have been pushing for Giulia to be more prominently featured given the work she was doing in Japan prior to join WWE.
Splitting from Kiana James could allow both stars to flourish, with neither having to share the spotlight.
Both Giulia and Kiana James have proven that they belong on the card. Hopefully we will see more of them both in significant segments.
