Grayson Waller has compared his MSG debut to a WWE legend’s.
On the July 7 episode of SmackDown, Grayson Waller attempted to host another edition of “The Grayson Waller Effect” with special guest WWE Hall of Famer Edge.
After a heated exchange, The Rated R Superstar challenged Waller to a match later in the night. Edge came out on top of this encounter, but told the NXT call-up that “you swam” against him.
On the heels of his performance, Waller has made a bold statement that his Madison Square Garden debut is on the same level as that of WWE legend Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. He tweeted:
This biggest debut in Madison Square Garden since that bloke who wore the cringe tassels
The Rock made his infamous debut on the WWE main roster at Survivor Series 1996. Adorned in his blue peacock entrance attire, Johnson went on to become the sole survivor in his first bout.
Meanwhile, Waller helped to raise his stock with his contest with Edge. This followed a high profile promo exchange with the returning John Cena at WWE Money In The Bank 2023.
