Tonight’s (September 4) episode of WWE Raw is set to feature the big Intercontinental Championship match, with GUNTHER defending the title against Chad Gable.
The match comes after Gable handed GUNTHER his first singles loss on the WWE main roster, defeating the Ring General by countout.
With the match being moved from Payback to Raw in order to give it more time, fans have wondered whether or not the two men would be given the main event slot on tonight’s show.
Well, we now have our answer to that question, as WWE has confirmed that Gable and GUNTHER will main event tonight’s show.
GUNTHER is set to break the Honky Tonk Man’s record as the longest reigning Intercontinental Champion in history should he defeat Gable on tonight’s show.
The other reasons why Gable vs GUNTHER did not take place at WWE Payback have been revealed, which you can see here.
The show will feature the fallout from Payback, as well as feature Jey Uso’s Raw return.
Tonight's #ICTitle match just got even bigger because @Gunther_AUT and @WWEGable are main eventing #WWERaw TONIGHT!
