AAA’s Hijo Del Vikingo Confirms Injury Ahead Of US Debut AAA

AAA Mega Champion Hijo del Vikingo has confirmed that he recently suffered an injury that will keep him out of action for a few weeks.

On Instagram, the AAA star revealed that he suffered a dislocated elbow during a recent match. Sharing a photo of himself wearing a cast, the top prospect wrote:

“Yesterday at the show in Tlaxcala, I suffered a dislocated left elbow, for which I will be out for approximately 3 weeks. Thanks to all my colleagues who supported me, my family, my girlfriend, and my brother (Octagon Jr.) for staying until the end.”

Hijo Del Vikingo recently acquired a work visa to make US appearances, and is slated to compete at the upcoming AAA event in Tempe, Arizona on December 3.

As Vikingo expects to be out of action for three weeks, he should be able to honor this booking if his recovery goes well.

Hijo Del Vikingo is the current AAA Mega Champion, winning the gold in December 2021 after Kenny Omega was forced to relinquish the gold due to injury.

Vikingo last defended the gold against AEW’s Rey Fenix at the October 15 TripleMania XXX event.

The prospect has been gaining popularity over the last year, and notably placed at #8 in this year’s PWI 500.
