AAA Mega Champion El Hijo Del Vikingo has captured the attention of many wrestling fans for his incredible performances in the Mexican promotion, with many fans hoping to see the Luchador make appearances in the United States.
Vikingo defended his Mega Championship against AEW star Rey Fenix at the AAA TripleMania XXX event last weekend, and he may now be set to take the title with him across the border.
Per Sports Illustrated, the AAA standout has now acquired a work visa and is set to make appearances in the United States.
Speaking through a translator, Vikingo said:
“I first need to thank my home, AAA, and my friends from Masked Republic for making my dream of traveling to the United States possible. I know it is a great responsibility to head to a new country. It is a responsibility I will live up to and surpass.”
Konnan revealed shortly after the TripleMania show that there were plans for AEW’s Kenny Omega to send a video message in to the winner of the AAA Mega Championship match between Vikingo and Fenix, but ultimately that never came to fruition due to the legal issues Omega is currently in.
